We got our start when we were awarded grants from NC IDEA in December 2013, and from Innovation Fund North Carolina in May 2014. RE-vibe was launched in the marketplace in late 2015, and received a grant from the US Department of Education in 2017.
Our mission is to leverage technology to empower people with additional opportunities in education and work. We do this by providing safe, alternative options to support those struggling with focus, concentration, and on-task behavior. By supporting our customers’ needs for independence, our hope is to instill confidence, improve self-esteem, and ultimately improve the lives of our users using technology.
Our company was founded on the belief that everyone deserves equal access to education and vocational opportunity. Our aim is to “level the playing field”, regardless of one’s background, diagnosis, special needs, or any other potential challenge. Because of this belief, we work to ensure that our products are top quality, research-based, and are making a positive impact in our customers’ lives. Rich spent much of his career working as a school psychologist specializing in autism spectrum disorders, serving on several school district autism evaluation teams. Rich is truly passionate about helping children with various difficulties overcome obstacles to attain success. David is an economist from his education, a Product Manager from over 10 years of experience and a business owner and executive from over 13 years of experience. Overall David has 23 years of business-to-business services, consulting, coaching and training industry experience in roles from operations, service delivery, marketing, product management and executive management. Dr. Johnson has worked with Revibe Tech for sometime now, and was finally brought on-board as CSO in 2017. He brings more than 40 years of experience in education and interventions for students with SR difficulties. Gwen joined Revibe Technologies in 2015 to help keep day to day operations running smoothly. As an Industrial Engineer, Gwen brings a very unique set of skills to Revibe Tech that include manufacturing design, quality, application and efficiency. She works hard each day to ensure that our products are brought to market quickly and manufactured on-time, as well as built to our strict standards for health, wellness and safety. Lara joined the team in 2016 to help get the word out about RE-vibe. She directs the marketing strategy, which includes managing the website, advertising, social media and pretty much all things related to PR, branding, and communications. Chris joined the Revibe crew in 2017 to help lead new innovations through technology. As a seasoned software architect, programmer and entrepreneur, Chris' background in computer science, business and software development will ensure Revibe stays at the forefront of cutting-edge wearable technology. Like his teammates, Chris has a passion for helping others through technology, as well as interests in innovation and environmental sustainability.
Leigh Ann joined the team in late 2016, to help meet the growing demand for RE-vibe. Originally from Long Island, she is happy to be getting settled in her new home near Revibe headquarters in Wake Forest, NC. When she is not paying close attention to the details of fulfillment, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
Allen is an electrical engineer with a background in test and measurement. A graduate of NC State University, Allen enjoys learning, movies and the beach. He joined the team in 2016.
Davide joined the team in 2017 to assist in Quality Control. He enjoys reading and learning online. He also enjoys taking care of his 5 dogs.
Luca arrived at Revibe in 2018. He enjoys climbing trees, looking in two different directions at the same time, and cricket snacks.
